Hearts Online App Reviews

This has been the best hearts multiplayer game we could find, but when blazing via Bluetooth, we get kicked off 9 out 10 games. We love to play but it does get aggravating when we consistently cant finish a game.

Ive tried many (all?) of the free hearts out there and a couple of the other pay apps - this one is by far the best. I dont have 1 criticism for it. Well worth the cheap price!

Usually good as a real game BUT every so often just gives up. Yesterday froze and had to reload and lost all data. Using IPad 2

Dealer is very fishy. Maybr a flaw in the dealing algorythms that makes the deals feel like they are rigged and not completely random?k This is not the only card game app that suffers from this, but i never encountered this problem while playing on a computer. Seriously, how do the cards get dealt perfectly so that the same person always gets trapped with or by the q of sp and yet with no possibility even of a moon, while the the other person gets moon after moon!! And this is every game; granted some times in your favor, but all the same feels rigged. Also why only two players with bots? Why not 3 or 4? Maybe if the bots werent so stupid? They will ditch the queen on high man instead of lowman 90% of the time, even with a hand full of spades for cover. They give away moons that amateur human players would easily predict!

Love the game, except the computer takes over for you when your playing, want to play my own cards. This problem needs to be changed if I am to lose I want to lose for myself. It doesnt do it when your playing with computer people, its when your playing with on line. Talked to a few other people that have got the game and it bothers them also, why would you set this game up like that?

My wife and I have been playing this for over a year now. We use wifi and 3G. Ipad2 and iPhones. Love it!! Gets better and better with every update.

I enjoy playing the game and have a 65% win rate at the hardest difficulty level, but I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to have a ten game win streak snapped because you shot the moon and the program incorrectly deducted 26 points from a competitor rather than add. This happens repeatedly in single player mode. Knowing who shot the moon and tallying scores should not be rocket science. Also what are the odds that the 2,3,4,5 of hearts are held by different players as often as it happens?

I have used this app for many years and have found it to be the best hearts game where you can play other players online. This app does not show up within the iTunes store, even when you search on "Hearls Online". The only way I have been able to view it within iTunes is to select it and then view it within iTunes, but if you havent already downloaded it you obviously cant get to this point. New users will not be able to play this game unless this is fixed. Thanks.

When the game works, its fine but I repeatedly have troubling playing it online. It says a game is starting, but never connects.

Serious, Ive tried all the other hearts apps and none of them compare to this one. Especially in regards to the computer, I dont know how the developer did it but they play like youre actually playing against real people. Sometimes a bit harder (which is frustrating but in a challenging way). Would definitely recommend!

I have loved playing this app for two years. Terrific, brilliant logic. However this newest update opens and immediately shuts down. Im running ios 6.1 which is compatible. PLEASE FIX or let us go back to the earlier version.

The most recent version crashes upon opening! This is a great app otherwise. I have used it for two years without problems until now. Please get this fixed. I am running iPad with version 6.2 iOS.

Was a great game, but now crashes immediately on opening. Hurry with a fix! Still not working after latest update. Crashes immediately. Same as before!

I love this Hearts app. It will be even better when more people have it. It takes awhile sometimes to start a game. I really recommend it. I have tried every Hearts app and even websites. This one is awesome. Thanks.

Game is great, as long as it doesnt freeze, which happens way too often!

The online portion is extremely slow, I downloaded this app to play with live people. I was able to do so once out of twenty tries, very frustrating. I hope it gets better or it will be deleted!

Offline is pretty good but good luck on trying to play online / multiplayer. The loading time takes a while. After about 10-20 tries finally got a game but dont want to be doing that all the time. Downloaded game to play against other people but dont want to wait while it loads. Will delete if not fixed.

Good game. But it disconnects you if you accidentally touch the ad at the bottom of the screen.

This is a better implementation than a couple of Hearts apps that I tried previously. I have not tested the online portion yet, but the computer players are pretty good. Still, the artificial intelligence of those players could be a little better, it is way too easy to shoot the moon, and the passes that you receive are predictable. I imagine it must be very hard to program a Hearts game to have truly sophisticated computer-based opponents, but it is clearly possible. For example, the Hearts game that comes with Windows XP seems to have smarter opponents than those in Hearts Pro. The biggest problem is that this game crashes about 15% of the time. That can be really annoying if you are deeply into a long game.
